Lawyers for Uyghur Rights is a group aimed at bringing together lawyers working to protect the rights of Uyghur people to discuss the strategies they are using. It will also provide general information about the legal situation in Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region (XUAR). It does not assist in individual cases however we might be able to point you in the right direction for assistance.

The organisation is chaired by Michael Polak. He is a barrister based in London who practices in criminal, human rights, and international law. He is a member of Church Court Chambers and a director with Justice Abroad

Michael spoke at the World Uyghur Congress Conference in Washington in 2019. He is keen to develop strategies to combat the brutal repression of the Uyghur People by the Chinese Government as well as assisting other oppressed peoples around the world.  Michael Polak is supported by a small committee which helps to co-ordinate the work of the organisation through its members around the world.
